Oil pulling dates back 3,000 years to ancient ayurvedic medicine developed on India. Today we practice this as a form of holistic healing that balances mind, body and spirit.

It is recommended that you do this in the mornings on an empty stomach by taking a tablespoon of coconut oil in your mouth and swish 15-20 minutes, two to three times a week . This will help to draw out toxins in your body . By killing the bacteria in the mouth oil pulling improves dental health, helping with the gums , teeth and improving bad breath. It does reduce inflammation which can benefit oral health and inflammation in the mouth.

Although there isn't any scientific data to confirm that oil pulling can whiten teeth , I have seen white teeth in the practice as a result of oil pulling.

Just remember, do not swallow the oil after pulling spit it out into a paper towel.
